View Full Version : SPTD BSOD on XP

I recently needed to install SPTD v1.6 or higher to use disk emulation software.

After an installation of the SPTD driver, Windows XP crashed with a BSOD during boot.

The BSOD is not caused by anything except the SPTD driver, as I have tried installing the SPTD driver standalone and the crashed occurred -despite the lack of installing any disk emulation software.

I have no antivirus installed, no kernel mode debugger, no previous (or any) version of SPTD installed, and I have no security software installed.

I would appreciate some help on properly installing SPTD.

Seems I have this problem: forum.duplexsecure.com/showthread.php?t=1059 (can't post proper link until I have 15 posts)

I was actually just given this PC, and didn't know that it was infected with some sort of rootkit virus.

I removed all malware and the SPTD drivers are working perfectly.
