Hi all,
Did a search of the forums but couldn't find anything related to this problem under version 1.43, would be great if someone could explain what's going on.

I'm trying to install SPTD version 1.43. I run the installer, all good, hit install. Thinks for a while, "install okies, your system must restart". I hit okay, nothing happens, decide a manual restart is required and do so through the start menu.
Computer restarts and I run the installer; No SPTD version was detected. Damn!

I've disabled UAC and all my antivirus, run Regedit, set the start value to disabled (4) and restarted, removed the whole sptd hive, restarted *again* and tried the whole install process - still with no luck. Could anyone advise on a solution? Am running Windows Vista Ultimate.

Thanks for reading!
-Sam

Please don't use v1.43 anymore, use v1.45:

Have tried v1.45 and am afraid to report it's making no difference :(
Here's my error log, I think the many instances are because I've tried it so many times.

Any ideas? No viruses and I've turned my antivirus off.

Which exact Vista version do you use (build number, 32/64 bit)? Did you install any Windows updates? Do you use some special boot logo?

Thanks for the quick replies and sorry for my slow ones, am doing about a million things at once at my end :P

Using Vista Ultimate, 32 bit. Running a dual core 2.2ghz amd chip.
Exact Vista build number I'm unsure of, where can I check? Have installed all the reccomended updates and a few others, complete list here:

Interesting question about the boot logo. While the system is booting I have the little progress bar (the smaller bar cycles through it, you know the one I'm talking about) but nothing actually appears until that finishes loading - once the bar dissapears a windows circle appears, it makes a little trill and brings up the login screen. Do you think this lack of a boot logo could be related? Does that specific error message have something to do with the boot loader?

Thanks for your help :)

Take a look at:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion

Looks like I'm running v6.0 build 6000?

Do you use Dell system?
Please send your ntoskrnl.exe to support@duplexsecure.com. Seems your system does not use standard kernel.

I'm a PHP coder for Dell and this is technically my work box, one of the software guys installed what I'm pretty sure is an OEM Dell copy, even though this isn't Dell hardware spec?
Am emailing the exe now, thanks so much for taking the time to help me with this :)

Forgot to say you have to send the exe RAR-packed, sorry for any inconvenience.

Just wondering whether this made it through // whether there's any chance of a solution? Don't want to rush you or anything, just curious whether I should keep checking back :)
