I have a problem after updating SPTD to 1.43+. Previously I had Daemon Tools 4.08 + SPTD 1.39 installed, everything was fine, however there was no support for StarForce 4.70. After installation of Daemon Tools 4.09+ and SPTD 1.43+ I can sometimes run StarForce 4.70 games. Error messages from StarForce Protection Synchronization Drivers (sfsync04, sfsync05, ps6xxxxx) appear in the event viewer - ID 1, "Protection Synchronization Driver detected an internal error". The messages appear randomly, for example, first boot - error from sfsync05 and sfsync04, I reboot my computer - errors from sfsync04 only, I reboot again - error from ps6ae5eb, I reboot once again - error from another driver etc... When a driver error occures, the game that uses this driver cannot be run (emulation detected message without any attempt to check the disk) until a reboot. Tried Daemon Tools 4.09 and 4.091, SPTD 1.43 and 1.45. This is an SPTD issue because errors appear even when Daemon Tools uninstalled. I have Windows XP SP2, nForce4 motherboard allows me to run games from images without unplugging my SATA DVD-RW. I tried reinstalling StarForce drivers, SPTD and Daemon Tools many times.

This is not "SPTD issue", but Starforce 4.70 bug. If you've games using different Starforce versions installed, they simply conflict with each other. This happens even with original media, and without SPTD installed.
Try to un-install SPTD and check.

I've already checked this before posting the message. No SPTD or SPTD <= 1.39 - no errors, all games work but only with original media. SPTD >= 1.43 - errors.

Which Starforce protected games do you have installed, and which fails?
And please tell us your complete system specs.

Currently I have 2 games installed - Instinct (v 1.0 - SF 4.50.7.3, v 1.1 SF 4.70.6.8) and Day Watch (v 1.0 - SF 4.0.13.6, v 1.1 - SF 4.70.6.4).
My system - MSI K8N Neo4-F mobo (PCB 3.0, nForce4-Ultra), Athlon64 3800+, 2GB DDR400, 3 IDE & 2 SATA-II HDDs, 1 SATA DVD-RW.

StarForce is getting me crazy. Yesterday I've updated some drivers (nVidia ForceWare unofficial 160.02, Ageia PhysX 07.05.06 - needed for some games, Realtek AC97 4.00) and noticed that errors have gone. I've installed S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and UberSoldier2 (most of the new games released here in Russia are protected by StarForce 4.7) and all 4 games work.
