Dear SPTD users!

To address issues reported in previous versions Duplex Secure provided a new beta release: SPTD beta version 1.49.

We have offered for downloads two files at http://disc-tools.com/download/sptdbeta
SPTD v1.49 (32 bit) and SPTD v1.49 (64 bit) - public beta versions and we would appreciate to learn your possible comments and questions here in our forum or by e-mail via our online message form to "SUPPORT" department:
http://www.duplexsecure.com/en/contact

Important note:
For users using YASU this update has critical status: if you are using YASU in combination with popular virtual drive programs (e.g. DAEMON Tools) your atapi.sys file may be deleted from system! Please update to SPTD 1.49 to workaround this issue!

Issues addressed:
- Fixed critical issue with YASU application
- Fixed minor issues with some devices (including iteatapi controller)
- Fixed drive cache detection issues with EAC

The new beta still does not work well with Exact Audio Copy for me. Just as before, if I remove Daemon Tools and any version of SPTD, EAC with the FUA command will disable the drive caching. If I load this beta, it still shows as caching. My drive is a Plextor 716A.

If I load this beta, it still shows as caching. My drive is a Plextor 716A.EAC's test for caching is not a good way to see if the FUA command works. I also have a PX-716A and usually EAC still says it caches audio data when started with -usefua. You need to see the speed at which EAC performs re-reads and whether it is able to report read errors in addition to sync errors. I'm more than happy to work with you on this, but it's more appropriate to do it over at Digital-Inn or Hydrogen Audio. ;)
