Allright, I do some tests.
It seems that SPTD v1.50 is more stable than v1.47 and v1.49.
Now at least it does not freezes my system for no reason at all.

but... every time I launch my BlindWrite it freezes the system (after a couple of seconds/minutes) : /

Last version I used (v1.43) I got no problem, everything was allright.
I uses SPTD + BlindWrite + DaemonTools + YASU + Alcohol and all works perfect.

Now with 1.50 it seems that only daemon and alcohol works ok. Havent test YASU jet. But BlindWrite and SPTD 1.50 still hates each other :/

plssss do something ; ]

Hi,
I'm a VSO Software user and ßeta Tester.

I never had burning issues with VSO Software (All of them) until I have updated SPTD v1.50

But what is weird, just SPTD v1.50 itself doesn't cause
issue, only in the presence of SlySoft AnyDVD v6.1.6.x

BEFORE:
-------
Always had Daemon Tools v4.06 up to v4.08 with SPTD v1.37
and SPTD v1.43

Always had SlySoft AnyDVD v6.1.6.x

Never had burning issues with VSO Software, with both
running.

Now, if both are running, this is the burning error I get
in all VSO Software:

7/2/2007 2:12:48 PM error Unit not ready. Code 02 3A 00
[NOT READY, no Media inserted]

As soon as I close AnyDVD, I can burn 100% like before.
So I said maybe it's AnyDVD, but like I said, only had
issues since SPTD v1.50 was installed.

What changed since v1.47 to v1.50 that can cause this ?

VSO Software Developpers has not yet looked at my open bug
with them, I was hoping to see what DuplexSecure had to say
on the matter, and I will also send this email to SlySoft to see why when closing AnyDVD it all works again.

Thank you,

(Wanting to see what Slysoft had to say on the matter, why
the conflict between SPTD 1.50, AnyDVD and VSO Software)

So you did try with SPTD uninstalled/disabled, i.e. AnyDVD only?

Hi,

As I said in my email, I have DISABLED the SCSI Host Adapter in Device Manager.

I do not want to retype all I have sent over those 3 emails.

Can you read the emails, and see if you get a better idea, or something else I could try ?

Quickly:

AnyDVD on it's own, and or with SPTD v1.43, I never ever had a issue.
Just since SPTD v1.50 was installed, so still not sure who is conflicting with who.

SPTD v1.50 ? AnyDVD ?
I will try to burn with Nero, see if it affects the hardware, not just the VSO Patin Couffin driver, since it reports media not ready.

Hi,

Message received from DuplexSecure Technical Support:

To disable SPTD open registry editor, then set Start value to 4 in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\sptd,
or execute SPTD installer and select Uninstall, then reboot (required).

I have done that, DISABLED SPTD v1.50
Make sure AnyDVD v6.1.6.7 is running.

SUCCESS !

I was able to burn with VSO CopyToDVD, with AnyDVD v6.1.6.7 running.

I will try the UNINSTALL, and try to reinstall Daemon Tools, to see if I can get SPTD v1.43 back, then try again (This should work since not an issue in the past).

Hi,

Again, after uninstalling SPTD v1.50 my Windows 2000 PC BlueScreened again.

I have a ghost image for this Test Box, so let's rebuild and will get SPTD v1.43 installed for now, I think my testing is over for today !

Hey,

Oh, now I'm really really confused.

Reloaded my test PC with my Windows 2000 Ghost Image.

Installed Daemon Tools v4.09 (SPTD v1.43) and AnyDVD v6.1.6.7

Now I have the same burning issues !!!!

And I'm having the same BlueScreens as before :(

STOP code on atapi.sys

I'm starting to thing it's AnyDVD v6.1.6.x that's doing weird things

Hi,

I have uninstalled AnyDVD, and upgraded SPTD v1.43 to v1.50 and the bluescreens are gone AGAIN.

I guess v1.43 is not stable ?

Man am I ever getting confused now.

I'll reinstall AnyDVD v6.1.6.7 but not keep it running so I can burn, and use AnyDVD when needed only.

Someday things will work again :D

So it's between SPTD v1.50 and the VSO Software Burn Engine (But only an issue when AnyDVD is running).
