I keep getting this error when I try to install daemon tools or when I rerun sptd setup. Searches via Google, Daemon tools website and these forums provide no help. What should I do to correct this issue.

What happes if you do as advised in that message? I.e. press ok, reboot, and re-run setup?
What system do you use, e.g. Dell? Do you use any anti virus software? Try to disable it.

I seem to have the same problem. When you press ok and reboot, run setup again, and push install button, the dialogue window just disappears without any confirmation of successufull install or install progress bar. And if run uninstall setup it will again ask me to reboot and disable sptd, after reboot it displays meassage that no sptd version is install.

iam using Microsoft xp pro sp2
i dont have any antivirus or spyware-killing programs
its a notebook so may be there is some problems with sata drivers or smth that kind
also in device manager i have found in folder SCSI and raids controllers
02Micro Integrated MMC/SD controller
