Exactly as the title says. SPTD disables Tablet PC functions in Windows 7. Windows 7 can't tell I have a Tablet PC anymore. I am absolutely sure it is SPTD causing this problem, because immediately after installing it, I could not use the Tablet Input Panel and Tablet PC Settings in the Control Panel has grayed-out options.

I am currently attempting to uninstall SPTD to restore Tablet functions.

Uninstalling the sptd driver doesn't work. A possibility is that it is interfering with the display or wacom driver, since windows doesn't recognize the display as touch or pen-enabled anymore. However, uninstalling and reinstalling those drivers don't seem to work.

More Details:
I have Vista installed on the same computer, and SPTD works there without interfering with tablet functions, so it is an issue with Windows 7 compatibility.
I have SPTD 1.58 installed on 7.

On another note, I can't seem to find the changelog for 1.60 online...

Haha... fourth post. Wish post editing had no time limit. Anyway, I just thought of another possibility. It may just disable the tablet pc input service. At the moment I am away, so I will check this later.

Please use v1.60, 1.58 has preliminary Windows 7 support only.

I just tried 1.60. Installed it, rebooted, tablet functions are greyed out. Uninstalled it, rebooted, and tablet functions are still greyed out. I also tried disabling and reenabling the tablet pc input service. Doesn't do anything. System restore does nothing either. I tried attaching my usb Wacom tablet and installing Wacom drivers, and see if tablet functions would be reenabled. Nope. In case it was a display problem, I connected my computer to a second monitor and messed with display settings to no avail. I reinstalled display drivers, but that didn't work either.

I am now trying to find and modify any registry keys that might be related to the tablet pc settings. If all else fails, I may have to reinstall the OS.

I reinstalled Windows 7 and installed 1.60 by itself. Everything works fine now. I guess if you have a Tablet PC, wait until Daemon Tools Lite and Alcohol 120% upgrade to 1.60 before installing.
