  • new install of Win7:SPTD v1.74 results in damaged system (rebooting during startup)

    Hello
i just setted my computer up with win7. i installed al the newest win updates. then i wanted to install deamontools which requires STDP.
i downloaded the newest driver from your site(v1.74) and installed that one manually. as you know, after the installation im getting asked for a reboot. well of course i did it. but this resulted in a damaged system, means rebooting during the startup. good luck there is theis new refix option in win7 so i could set it back and fix the system.
i also getting this failure with later versions (which i tried first)
as i said, it was a clean system and i installed sdtp drivers for the first time and it didn't work.
its not that "registry problem" because i setted this computer up totally fresh and there is not any regestry key yet.

    what could it be?
    im pretty desperate...

    cheers
    derb

So directly after Windows updates you installed SPTD without installing any other software?
Do you have a HP laptop with DriveGuard?

Also please post latest minidump file (c:\windows\minidump).

I have the same problem with Windows XP service pack 3. I was sent here by alcohol 120 to get and load sptd for their software to work. I have deleted the registry key and loaded your software and it sends me into a loop of restarts. Do you need my minidump file as well?

The crash does not seem to be SPTD related at all, probably caused by WUSB54GSCV2 driver.

Try to update or remove that driver.

I tried loading the software again after deleting it in the registry editor while in safe mode and it gives the error message

                        Failed to open service key

Did you reboot after deletion of SPTD in registry before re-installation?

                            Trying that now

Ok it installed rebooting now by start Turn off and restart

now it is cycling thru startup and windows

going to safe mode asks if I want to continue loading sptd by pressing enter I do restarts and now safe mode again didn't press enter it starts up
