  • BSOD 0x00000124 with Win7 64-bit

    Hello,

I'm using sptd.sys with Daemon Tools Pro (Standard) latest version. On my main desktop (Win7 64-bit SP1, Enterprise), SPTD crashes with BSOD 0x00000124 within a few minutes of install. Oddly another computer with similar hardware doesn't crash.

    Please help!

    Thank you.

It turned out to be a BIOS issue.

I flashed my motherboard (GigaByte GA-P55UD4P) BIOS to the latest version (F10) in January, but didn't load the FAIL-SAFE setting. Under MB Intelligent Tweaker (M.I.T.) -> Advanced Frequency Setting:

CPU Clock Drive 800mV (was 700mV)
PCI Express Clock Drive 900mV (was 700mV)

Performing these two changes seemed to make my computer and SPTD.sys stable. Fingers crossed...
