  • BSOD in sptd.sys 1.79 x86 when installing a game

BSOD in sptd.sys 1.79 x86 when installing a game (Viehchroniken) from a virtual drive (vIDE - latest Pro Advanced). vIDE is attached to physical drive.
BSOD only happens when attached, install works fine from non-attached drive.

    OS is XP SP3.

Thank you for the info, we'll check the crash dump.

It seems some driver modified address in kernel memory while it shouldn't do it, difficult to say yet which driver caused such memory overwrite.
Most likely AnyDVD or some other hook driver is involved, so suggestion is to remove AnyDVD and check. If it still crashes also try to remove Bushound.

All weren't active at that time. I will try to remove AnyDVD, DVDFab Passkey and Bus Hound to see again. But why it works when non-attached and BSODing when attached then?
